As a BASI Level 4 ISTD instructor, trainer, and examiner — the highest level of BASI snowboard qualification — I specialise exclusively in snowboarding, with no mixed disciplines.

From complete beginners to advanced riders preparing for instructor exams, I provide clear, structured coaching built for real progression.

Aspect is an independent, snowboard-only coaching service – not a multi-discipline ski school. Snowboarding has its own techniques and challenges, and that’s where my expertise lies. From the finer details of board control to small adjustments that make a real difference to your riding, I bring a specialist eye to every session. You benefit from years of technical experience and a lifelong passion for the sport.

With official instructor priority lift access, we can spend less time queuing and more time riding. Lessons & Coaching

Beginners

No gimmicks, no rushed groups, and no pressure. If it’s your first time strapping onto a snowboard, we’ll start with the fundamentals. I’ll guide you step-by-step through a clear, structured progression to get you linking your first clean turns with control and confidence.

Comfortable on blues but feeling stuck or inconsistent on steeper slopes? We’ll break down exactly where your technique is breaking down and build the adaptability you need to tackle those steeper runs with flow and enjoyment rather than survival tactics.

Instructor training

Instructor exam preparation with structured coaching from a BASI trainer with extensive experience delivering courses as both a trainer and examiner.

We’ll work through the key assessment areas in detail, helping you understand exactly what the standard looks like and how it is applied in real exam scenarios. I’ll help you refine your riding, sharpen your teaching, and build the clarity and consistency needed to perform under pressure.
