WHO IT’S FOR

  • New to the park and not sure where to start
  • Comfortable riding but want to try jumps or boxes
  • Already doing tricks and want to improve consistency

ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS

Whether you’re new to freestyle or have done it for years, we’re here to help you improve! Safety is our utmost priority and our coaches will ensure that you understand and adhere to park etiquette and safety practices.

We’ll also help you understand the different features of the terrain park and how to approach them safely and confidently.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Approach and take-off technique
  • Balance and control on features
  • Basic tricks (grabs, 180s, boxes)
  • Progression to jumps, spins, and rails

Everything is broken down step-by-step so it feels manageable.

BUILD CONFIDENCE

Freestyle can feel intimidating at first.

I focus on giving you a clear approach to each feature and trick, so you know what you’re doing before you drop in – and can build confidence quickly without unnecessary risk.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

Freestyle Snowboarding isn’t much different kit wise. So long as you have the basic safety equipment: helmet, goggles, gloves, and appropriate, waterproof mountain wear, you’re all set. Knee pads, elbow bads, impact shorts can all be helpful at protecting against bumps and bruises.

Snowboard-wise, you may well have your own. If not, it can be good to go for a more freestyle focused snowboard. A ‘true twin’, more flexible snowboard is likely ideal. We will be happy to advise further should you need any help.

All of this gear is available for rent at reasonable prices from a number of local rental shops.

If you have any questions about appropriate equipment for your session please visit our equipment page or contact us.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Snowboard (a softer, twin-shaped board can help, but not essential)
  • Helmet

Optional: knee pads, impact shorts, elbow pads for extra confidence.

If you’re unsure about setup, I’ll point you in the right direction.
