Comfortable on red runs at a minimum and looking to venture past the markers?
Wanting to experience deep powder or backcountry terrain for the very first time?
Already riding off-piste but feeling inconsistent or unstable when the snow conditions change?
Used to exploring variable terrain but wanting expert guiding and tactical refinement?
On snow mechanics: Adjusting your stance, weighting, and pressure distribution to smoothly ride through deep and variable snow.
Steep Terrain Control: Developing precise speed-management and technical movements for steeper technical terrain.
Line Choice & Decision Making: Learning how to read the natural terrain actively to choose the safest, most fluid lines down the mountain.
Safety Equipment Integration: Developing a solid foundational understanding of how to properly utilise avalanche safety gear.
Everything is explained with absolute clarity – you will leave the session understanding exactly why and when adjustments work, rather than just being told to follow a track.
Aside from your standard snowboarding kit, avalanche safety equipment is strictly mandatory for this session. It is not included in the standard lesson cost, but it can easily be rented locally for a reasonable price.
You will need:
Safety Pack: An avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, and a suitable backpack to carry them.
Lift Pass: A valid pass covering the full Tignes & Val d’Isère domain.
Note: I will advise you well ahead of time on exactly what gear to get and where to go. We partner directly with a local shop to secure discounted rental rates for all safety equipment and performance setups.
